Türkiye's flat steel exports increased by 89.8% in January

Türkiye's flat steel exports in January 2024 increased by 89.8% compared to the same month last year.

Türkiye's flat steel exports increased by 89.8% in January

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Türkiye's flat steel exports in January increased by 89.8% compared to the same month last year, increasing from 178,517 tons to 338,893 tons.

Compared to the previous month, December 2023, it increased by 16.8%. Exports totaled 290,269 tons in December.

Ukraine was Türkiye's top flat steel exporter with 33,602 tons, while exports to Ukraine increased by 129.3% compared to January 2023.

Ukraine was followed by Romania with 30,758 tons. Exports to Romania increased by 13.7%. Italy ranked third in the export ranking. Flat steel exports to Italy increased by 579.7% from 4,490 tons to 30,517 tons. Italy was followed by Greece with 26,110 tons and 57.9% increase and Iraq with 21,791 tons and 13% increase.
