According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the economic confidence index reached 100.8 in the March period, an increase of 1.6 compared to the previous month. Thus, the index was entitled to receive the assembly reference above 100 again after March 2024. Economic confidence above 100 indicates the optimism of the general economic situation.
The consumer confidence index increased by 4.6% to 85.9 in March, while the real sector confidence index increased by 0.4% to 103.2. The service sector confidence index increased by 0.2% to 114.4.
On the other hand, the retail trade confidence index decreased by 2.5% to 113.4 and the construction confidence index decreased by 0.5% to 88.9.
