According to SteelRadar analysts, based on data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's cold rolled coil (CRC) production in May 2024 increased by 131.6% y/y to 74,485 tons from 32,155 tons in the same month of the previous year. This represents a 20.7% increase m/m from April.
Total CRC exports in the January-May period increased by 198.2% y/y to 325,027 tons from 109,004 tons in the same period of the previous year.
Türkiye's top CRC export destinations in May were Greece with 18,794 tons, followed by Italy with 17,818 tons, Canada with 10,443 tons, Spain with 6,220 tons, and Ukraine with 5,181 tons.
