Türkiye's capacity utilization rate falls in July

Accordingly, the capacity utilization rate (CUR), calculated based on the responses received from 1,985 workplaces operating in the manufacturing industry, declined in July.

The seasonally adjusted capacity utilization rate decreased by 0.5 percentage points compared with the previous month and fell to 73.8%.

The capacity utilization rate, not adjusted for seasonal effects, decreased by 0.6 percentage points from 74.5% in June to 73.9% in July.

According to the 2026 data, the capacity utilization rate was recorded at 74.1% in January, 73.5% in February, 73.3% in March, 73.8% in April, and 74.2% in May. The rate, which increased to 74.5% in June, declined again in July, falling to 73.9%.

Compared with the same month of the previous year, a decrease in the capacity utilization rate was also observed. The capacity utilization rate not adjusted for seasonal effects, which was 74.2% in July 2025, decreased to 73.9% in July 2026, declining by 0.3 percentage points on an annual basis.
