Türkiye's billet and bloom imports decreased by 33% in January-June period

Türkiye's June 2024 billet and bloom imports decreased by 38.9% on an annual basis and increased by 5.4% on a monthly basis.

According to data compiled by SteelRadar analysts from the Turkish Statistical Institute ( TUIK), Türkiye's June 2024 billet and bloom imports decreased by 38.9% on an annual basis to 164,256 tons from 268,863 tons in the same month of the previous year.

This figure was 5.4% higher than the previous month, May. In May, 155,340 tons of imports were realized.

Türkiye's total billet and bloom imports in the January-June period decreased by 33% compared to the same period of the previous year, from 1,968,886 tons to 1,318,588 tons.

Türkiye imported the most from Russia with 43,029.3 tons, followed by Indonesia with 31,117.6 tons, Ukraine with 17,259.8 tons, Iran with 16,002.1 tons and Malaysia with 14,557.4 tons.
