According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the European Commission, Türkiye filled its quotas for 120,200 tons of wire rod, 96,390 tons of rebar, 100,456 tons of hollow sections, 16,048 tons of organic coated sheets and 15,246 tons of large welded tubes. With these products, 100% utilization was realized in 5 products in total.
Türkiye also recorded high quota consumption in the HRC product group, using 59.99% of its initial quota of 479,925 tons. Likewise, it reached 55.52% utilization in 38,882 tons of other welded pipes and 41.51% in 108,211 tons of merchant bars and light sections.
Lower utilization rates were observed in the unalloyed steel wire, stainless HR quarto plates and railway materials product groups. 28.66% of 52,465 tons of unalloyed steel wire quota, 30.41% of 21,267 tons of stainless HR quarto plate quota and 21.40% of 1,589 tons of railway materials quota were used.
Countries with full quota utilizations
China reached full capacity in these product groups by fully utilizing its quotas of 130,925 tons of 4B metallic coated sheets, 8,243 tons of other welded pipes and 5,019 tons of stainless HR quarto plates.
India fully utilized its quotas of 80,249 tons of organic coated sheets, 32,403 tons of stainless bars and light sections and 6,004 tons of seamless stainless tubes and pipes, achieving full capacity utilization in these product groups as well.
South Korea fully utilized its quota of 190,289 tons of HRC for the EU, filling its full quota capacity.
