Flat steel prices in the European, US and Far East markets have entered a downtrend due to insufficient demand. While traders find the prices offered by producers high, they do not think that these prices are sustainable.
Türkiye's demand for cold rolled and coated flat steel has been stagnant due to weak market interest, hampering producers' efforts to raise prices. Both sellers and buyers are adopting a cautious approach as they wait for market trends after the Lunar New Year. Some expect a potential increase in demand after the municipal elections in Türkiye on 31 March.
