Türkiye's iron exports to China down 46.6% in first eight months

In the first eight months of 2024, Türkiye's iron exports to China decreased by 46.6% year-on-year to 13.4 million USD. In August, the decrease in iron exports to China continued and the share of exports in total iron exports to China decreased by 49.8% compared to the same month of the previous year to 1.7 %.

Türkiye's total iron exports increased by 1.5% in August compared to last year and reached 1.8 billion dollars. However, exports decreased by 3.6% in the January-August period, with total exports totalling $8 billion 245 million.

In the last one-year period, Turkey's total iron exports reached $12 billion 155 million.
