World Steel Association (Worldsteel) announced crude steel production data for August 2024. Accordingly, Turkey's crude steel production increased by 13.8% yoy to 3.1 million tons in August.
This figure stayed at the same level with the previous month of July. Turkey kept its eighth place in the world crude steel production ranking in the same month.
Turkey's crude steel production in the January-August period increased by 14.8% yoy to 24.8 million tons.
Global crude steel production decreased by 6.5% yoy to 144.8 million tons in the same month.
