According to the data from the Turkish Statistical Institute ( TUIK), when the sub-sectors of industry (with reference year 2015=100) are analysed, the index for mining and quarrying sector increased by 5.1%, the index for manufacturing industry sector increased by 1.8% and the index for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution sector increased by 4.9% in August 2023 compared to the same month of the previous year.

Analysing the sub-sectors of industry, in August 2023, mining and quarrying index increased by 0.2%, manufacturing industry index decreased by 1.3% and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution index increased by 2.4% compared to the previous month.
