Turkish and Spanish Companies Meet to Boost Steel Exports and Trade Opportunities
As part of a program aimed at increasing Türkiye’s steel sector exports and creating new trade opportunities, Turkish and Spanish companies came together.
The delegation, organized by the Turkish Steel Exporters’ Association, was led by Coşkun Kırlıoğlu, Deputy Secretary General of İMMİB. Representing 21 Turkish companies, a total of 33 sector representatives met with Spanish importers in Madrid under the program.
During the event, approximately 250 B2B meetings were held as part of the bilateral business discussions. Turkish steel producers and exporters had the opportunity to explore new collaborations and trade opportunities with importers from Spain and neighboring markets.
The delegation program was also closely followed by Türkiye’s trade representatives in Madrid. Önder Şafak Tongal, Commercial Counselor at the Embassy of Türkiye in Madrid, and Uğur Yalçın from the Turkish Ministry of Trade participated in the meetings and engaged directly with the sector representatives.
The trade mission is expected to strengthen the position of the Turkish steel sector in the European market and contribute to the development of commercial relations between Türkiye and Spain.
