Tosyalı Holding's statement is as follows: An explosion occurred in a certain area of the Steel Mill section of our Iron and Steel Plant in İskenderun Organised Industrial Zone on 8 November 2023 for an unknown reason.
In the incident, 14 of our workers were injured, our injured workers were transferred to the hospital and their treatment started immediately. While 7 of our workers have been discharged, the treatment of 6 people, 2 of whom are seriously injured, is still ongoing. Unfortunately, one of our workers, whose treatment continues after the incident in question, unfortunately lost his life.
The matter regarding this unfortunate incident has been referred to the judicial authorities and a judicial and administrative investigation has been initiated.
As Tosyalı Holding, we are deeply saddened by this incident. We wish God's mercy to our friend who lost his life, condolences to their grieving families and all our friends working under the roof of Tosyalı Holding, and a speedy recovery to our injured friends.
As Tosyalı Holding, we would like to express that we stand by the family of our worker who lost his life in the incident, our injured workers and their families. We are grieving.
All technical and administrative investigations related to the incident will be carried out by the relevant institutions and will be shared with the public.
We once again wish our injured workers to recover their health as soon as possible and wish God's mercy to our friend who lost his life.
