In line with its global growth strategy, Tosyalı Holding, Türkiye's global steel producer, has acquired Baika Steel Tubular System (STS), Spain's leading steel pipe manufacturer.
Following its investments in Algeria, Senegal and Angola, Tosyalı Holding has acquired the STS plant to meet the rising demand in Europe with the increasing new hydrogen distribution networks. Tosyalı Holding aims to increase the capacity of the plant to 240,000 tons/year with new investments to be made in STS, which has an annual production capacity of 150,000 tons of spiral pipes. With this strategic move, Tosyalı Holding has increased its global pipe production capacity to over 3 million tons/year and consolidated its position as the largest steel pipe producer in Europe.
In the statement made by Tosyalı Holding on social media regarding this important acquisition, it was stated that the company aims to increase its effectiveness in the global market and strengthen its leading position in Europe. This strategic merger stands out as a step towards expanding Tosyalı Holding's presence in the sector and increasing its competitiveness in the international arena.
