Tosyalı will establish a wire rod Solar Power Plant-1 (GES) with an installed capacity of 20.9 MW in Osmaniye in order to meet the electricity needs of the facilities it operates.
Operating a rebar production facility in Osmaniye province, Toprakkale district, Türkmen Town, Osmaniye Organized Industrial Zone, Tosyalı Filmaşin ve İnşaat Demir Üretim San. A.Ş. will establish a solar power plant within the boundaries of Osmaniye OIZ in order to meet the electrical energy needs.
The Wire Rod Solar Power Plant-1 (GES), which will be established within the scope of the project worth 80 million TL, will have an installed capacity of 20.9 MW.
46,328 solar panels will be installed in the power plant, which will be built on a total area of 19.22 hectares belonging to the company. The power plant is expected to generate approximately 40 million kWh of electricity annually.
The electricity produced was transferred to Tosyalı Filmaşin ve İnşaat Demir Üretim San. A.Ş. to be used in the internal consumption of the facilities. The economic operational life of the project is estimated at 25 years. However, with technological improvements, it will be possible to extend the operating period.
