Tokyo Steel, Japan's largest electric arc furnace (EAF) steelmaker, announced that it has cut its carbon steel prices for the eighth consecutive month.
Despite high production costs, the steelmaker is giving time to let the market absorb previous hikes. It is preparing to increase its prices in January 2022.
HRC stands at JPY 110,000/ton ($969/t).
