The UAE has decided to extend the import duty period for rebar and wire rod products

Dubai Customs, in addition to the Customs Declaration 10/2022 and based on the letter of the Federal Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security Authority dated January 16, 2023, including the letter of the Ministry of Finance dated January 13;

It stated that the 10% import tax application on rebar and wire rod has been extended until November 7, 2023.

Customs exits in the UAE had reached the decision to increase the customs duty on imports of rebar and wire rod from 5% to 10% as of January 2019, in order to provide trade protection for national iron products.
