Based on the statistical data of the World Steel Association, it has been announced how the global demand for steel products will be followed in 2023 and 2024. According to the data, international steel demand in 2023 increased by 2.3% compared to last year and reached one million 822 thousand tons. In the next year, this figure will increase by 1,7% annually and reach one million 854 thousand tons.
The World Steel Association has released figures for global steel demand by different regions of the world. Accordingly, the region with the highest global steel demand intensity was announced as other European countries, while the country with the lowest global steel demand was Russia, as it was subject to sanctions by Europe due to the war with Ukraine.
