As a result of the April 9, 2024 expiry review, it was determined that dumping of products imported from the relevant countries continued and harmed the steel sector in the European Union.
Accordingly, anti-dumping duties will continue to be applied on products imported from Korea at a rate of 32.4% for TK Corporation and 44% for other producers.
The dumping margins for Kian Joo Can Factory Berhad, Hup Seng Industries Berhad and Ann Joo Resources Berhad, which are among the main companies in products originating from Malaysia, were determined between 49.9% and 59.2%, while the residual duty rate will be maintained at 75%.
Anti-dumping measures will be maintained on pipes and fittings imported from Russia with a residual duty rate of 23.8%.
The products under review are pipes and fittings made of iron or steel (excluding stainless steel) with an outer diameter not exceeding 609.6 mm, identified by HS codes 7307 93 11, 7307 93 19 and 7307 99 80.
The Commission rejected the Russian government's objections that the review was unnecessary due to sanctions. The review aims to assess whether dumping continues regardless of the sanctions.
