The Environmental impact Assessment report prepared for İsdemir’s planned Solar Power Plant project in Diyarbakır has been presented to the public for review

The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report for the solar power plant project, which is planned to have an installed capacity of 171.012 MWp and an electricity generation capacity of 140 MWe, and to be built on an area of approximately 200.54 hectares, has been opened to public review and feedback in accordance with Article 14, Paragraph 1 of the EIA Regulation.

The consultation period for the report will continue for 10 calendar days at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and the Diyarbakır Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. During this period, citizens, institutions and other stakeholders will be able to submit their opinions and recommendations on the project by officially registering them with the Ministry or the Provincial Directorate.

Authorities stated that opinions not submitted within the specified period will not be taken into account in the decision-making process related to the project. It was emphasized that the EIA process represents a critical stage in assessing environmental impacts and informing the public.

With this project, İSDEMİR aims to increase its renewable energy investments and meet part of its energy demand from clean sources. It was noted that the final decision on the project will be made after the consultation process is completed.
