Following the company’s recent investments in vehicle manufacturing, the model it developed has begun carrying passengers on the roads of Istanbul for the first time.
Previously, Habaş had entered the heavy commercial vehicle segment by launching its own tractor unit, SteelPower. As a continuation of this process, the low-floor city bus project developed by the company was introduced to the market under the name ComfortCity.
During the model’s launch process, many private public bus operators from Istanbul visited the production facility to examine the vehicle on site. After these visits, the bus—previously ordered by the C-434 line—was delivered and began service. Thus, the domestically produced bus manufactured by Habaş became the first of its kind to actively transport passengers in Istanbul.
The new bus, bearing license plate 34 HO 3168 and assigned to the C-434 line within the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality’s Private Public Buses fleet, has replaced the 2016 model Akia Ultra LF 12. The fact that the new model is offered directly for sale by the factory and is considered affordably priced by industry representatives increases the likelihood that it will be preferred in Istanbul and other cities in the coming period.
