According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the construction cost index increased by 1.05% compared to the previous month and by 22.82% year-on-year in August. On a monthly basis, the material index rose by 1.46% and the labor index by 0.28%, while on an annual basis, the material index increased by 19.17% and the labor index by 30.16%.
The building construction cost index in August rose by 1.15% month-on-month and 22.53% year-on-year. Within this scope, the material index increased by 1.67% and the labor index by 0.23% monthly, while on an annual basis, the material index rose by 18.92% and the labor index by 29.54%.
For non-residential structures, the construction cost index increased by 0.72% monthly and 23.75% year-on-year. The material index rose by 0.84% and the labor index by 0.48% month-on-month, while on an annual basis, the material index increased by 19.94% and the labor index by 32.37%.
