20 participants from Arab and foreign steel companies attended the 13th Arab Steel Summit which took place in Amman, the capital of Jordan, which also included rebar producers, flat plate and steel pipe manufacturers.
The iron and steel man of the year 2018 was honored as Mr. Awad Al-Khalidi, President of United Iron Industry Company (Kuwait Steel), and Ahmed Ezz, President of Eng. Ezz Steel Group - Arab Republic of Egypt, was honored as the 2017 iron and steel industry man.
The importance of the role played by the kingdom in the steel industry did not fall off the agenda of the summit.
