Quintain Steel Co. Ltd. one of the major wire rod producers in Taiwan announced to raise its new prices for February today (January 28).
According to the price announcement, the prices for wire rods of al-killed steel for screw, spheroidized wires, killed steel for hardware, galvanized wire, and thread rods were hiked by NT$1,000/ton, and the preferential bargaining methods of these products were canceled.
Quintain Steel said that the price adjustment was due to a rebound in raw materials, such as iron ore and billet. The new prices were in line with market expectations.
