Dragon Steel Corporation (DSC), one of Taiwan's leading structural steel section producers, raised its H-beam base price by 900 NTD (28 USD) per ton for November. After lowering its prices by NTD 300 (USD 9) per ton in October, DSC revised its prices with a net increase of around NTD 600 (USD 19) per ton with the latest hike.
Tung Ho Steel, another major producer in Taiwan's structural steel sector, also raised its H-beam prices by NTD 400 (USD 12) per ton for the second half of October. This price hike is believed to have influenced DSC's November pricing policy.
Following DSC's 900 NTD per ton price hike in November, market experts expect Tung Ho Steel to follow suit with another hike in early November if raw material prices remain stable.
