Swedish speciality steel producer SSAB has entered into a partnership with Denmark-based DS Stålprofil. SSAB will supply its fossil-free steel to DS Stålprofil from 2026, and DS Stålprofil will use the steel in roofing and facade products.
The CEO of DS Stålprofil said that in the transition to a new, low-carbon economy, steel products will make an important contribution to helping contractors, architects and builders meet their climate targets. He added that fossil-free steel has a long service life and is 100 per cent recyclable.
