In the first five months of 2025, steel pipe imports from Türkiye to Georgia saw a significant increase, rising by 15.8% compared to the same period last year. According to preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat), the total volume of imported steel pipes reached 30,858 tonnes.
The value of these imports also rose, totaling $24.12 million—an increase of 3.7% year-on-year.
Türkiye remains Georgia’s leading trade partner. Between January and May 2025, the total foreign trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $1.21 billion. This included $1.07 billion in imports, reflecting a slight decrease of 1%, and $136.15 million in exports from Georgia to Türkiye, which dropped by 22.2% compared to the same period in 2024.
