The construction of a large pelletising plant has started at the Tebinbulak iron ore deposit

The opening ceremony was attended by the heads of Triangul Metals Tebinbulak, representatives of Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and other representatives of contractors. The President participated in the event via videoconference.

The pelletising plant will be engaged in the pelletising of iron ore raw materials, producing burnt pellets necessary for the subsequent production of metalised pellets. The new plant will have an annual capacity of 5 million tonnes of burnt pellets.

More than 400 jobs are expected to be created, mainly for the local population. Training programmes will be organised on the basis of existing production facilities to improve the skills of employees.

The plant is scheduled to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Tebinbulak MMC and Gallaaral metallurgical cluster are included in the Strategy of Uzbekistan 2030. The construction of metallurgical complexes in Tebinbulak and Gallaaral involves the effective utilisation of the local raw material base and the development of industry based on advanced technologies.
