Egypt’s rebar market has shown remarkable stability in recent weeks, with prices remaining largely unchanged across major manufacturers. According to the latest data from SteelRadar, as of March 31, 2023 , most producers maintained their pricing structures, reflecting a resilient market despite global economic uncertainties.
The majority of Egypt’s leading rebar manufacturers reported no significant changes in their prices between May 31, 2025 , and June 18, 2025 .
Companies such as Ezz Steel , Suez Steel , Egyptian Steel , and Beshay kept their prices steady at EGP 38,200/MT , EGP 37,500/MT , EGP 38,100/MT , and EGP 38,100/MT , respectively.
The exchange rate increased slightly from EGP 49.80/$ on 31 May to EGP 50.20/$ on 18 June. This led to a small decrease in S/MT prices for most producers, even though their EGP/MT prices remained stable.
Ezz Steel EGP/MT stayed at 38,200, but S/MT decreased from 767 to 761. Suez Steel EGP/MT stayed at 37,500, but S/MT decline from 753 to 747. Notably, Misr Steel, Midi Steel, and October Steel—previously considered stable—also saw price declines, adding to the downward trend in certain segments of the market.
While most companies reported declines or stability, a few manufacturers saw an increase in their rebar prices:
El Ola Steel raised its price from EGP 32,000 (USD643/MT) to EGP 31,800 (US$647/MT), reflecting a positive adjustment.
Al Gyoshi Steel reported the most significant increase, boosting its price by USD15 per metric ton.
