South Korea's H-Profile production and demand decreased

According to data obtained from the Korea Iron and Steel Association (KOSA), South Korea's H-beam production decreased by 11.6% in the first ten months of this year compared to the same period last year, reaching 2.29 million tons.

In the same period, shipments amounted to approximately 1.73 million tons, indicating an annual decrease of 15.5%. Import volume decreased by 1.2% compared to last year, reaching 374,000 tons.

According to KOSA's estimates, an annual decrease of 11.4% is expected in South Korea's H-beam demand in 2023 and the demand will reach 2.52 million tons.
