South Africa's pig iron exports increased by 77.4% in June

According to data provided by the South African Revenue Service (SARS), pig iron exports in june 2024 increased by 77.4% yearly, from 46,834 tons to 83,089 tons. Compared to May, pig iron exports gained 25.1%. Exports also showed a positive trend on a monthly basis, sources noted.

South Africa's total pig iron exports increased by 16.3% in the January-June 2024 period. Italy had the largest share in South Africa's pig iron exports in june 2024, with pig iron exports to Italy totaling 31 million 336 thousand 50 tons. Italy was followed by the Netherlands with 21,000 tons and the USA with 17,500,005 tons.
