The Steel Tube Export Association of South Africa (STEASA) announced that it is among the 15 companies participating in the trade mission taking place from 25 to 30 August. Organised by the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC), the programme includes visits to Nigeria and Ghana to foster new business partnerships.
The mission is aimed at supporting South Africa’s industrialisation efforts, boosting exports and creating jobs despite current economic challenges. STEASA CEO Keitumetse Moumakoe said the initiative would strengthen the association’s presence in West Africa, highlighting the growing demand particularly in the hydraulic and mining sectors. “Nigeria and Ghana are not only important markets but also gateways to the region’s industrial value chains. This visit is a valuable opportunity for us to expand partnerships and bring our products to a wider market,” he emphasized.
During the mission, STEASA will showcase products such as cylinder rods, chrome bars and infrastructure pipes, along with services including chrome plating, bronzing, grinding and welding.
Supported by the DTIC, the programme is designed to help South African companies enter new markets and deepen trade relations with countries in the region.
