In February 2025, Egypt's rebar market experienced slight price changes, reflecting ongoing volatility in the construction industry. According to SteelRadar's latest data, rebar prices for several major manufacturers showed minor decreases and increases between January 31 and February 24, signaling a period of adjustment.

Leading manufacturer Ezz Steel maintained its price at 38,200 EGP per metric ton (MT), but saw a decrease in the dollar equivalent from 758 to 754 USD per MT. Similarly, Suez Steel's prices rose from 38,100 to 38,200 EGP per MT, with a dollar drop from 756 to 754 USD per MT.

Other notable price changes included:

Beshay Steel dropped from 38,200 EGP (758 USD) to 38,100 EGP (752 USD) per MT, marking a decrease of 6 USD.

Madina Steel held steady at 35,500 EGP but saw a dollar drop from 710 to 701 USD per MT.

Al Garhy notably, dropped from 36,800 EGP (730 USD) to 36,000 EGP (711 USD) per MT, a significant reduction of 19 USD.

Some companies experienced price increases, including:

Al Komy increased from 32,500 EGP (645 USD) to 33,500 EGP (661 USD) per MT, rising by 17 USD.

El Ola Steel increased from 32,300 EGP (641 USD) to 32,700 EGP (646 USD) per MT, marking a rise of 5 USD.

Mitad Helwan maintained at 32,000 EGP per MT but saw a dollar rise from 635 to 652 USD per MT.

This dynamic market landscape underscores the sensitivity of rebar prices to various economic factors, both local and international.
