SFB Group will supply green steel from Swiss Steel

Swiss Steel provides Schwäbische Formdrehteile with its 'Green Steel Climate+' products to procure emission-free steel.

SFB Group will supply green steel from Swiss Steel

Swiss Steel will reportedly offer its patented Green Steel Climate+ products to Schwäbische Formdrehteile (SFB Group) to supply steel with reduced emissions. Previously, Swiss Steel and SFB have conducted a cooperative study focusing on Swiss Steel's XTP (Xtreme Performance) technology. With this technology, it is anticipated to enable thermomechanical rolling of conventional steels.

By January 2024, SFB and Swiss Steel have also agreed to source Green Steel Climate+ products exclusively from Steeltec in Switzerland and Deutsche Edelstahlwerke Speciality Steel in Germany.

A significant advancement for reducing the environmental impact of the steelmaking process, this cooperation also highlights material properties that can generally be obtained by using high alloys or costly additional processes.
