"Taking into account the security incidents and current developments that have occurred against the ships sailing in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, in accordance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code) Implementation Regulation; our Turkish flagged ships must be prepared against possible security threats, In order to be able to take the necessary precautions while navigating in the areas and to warn our ships at an early stage, the ISPS Code Security Level of Turkish flagged ships that will "call at Yemen and Somali ports, sail on their coasts and off their coasts, and sail in the Gulf of Aden and Bab al-Mandab Strait" will be 3 (Three) as of December 19, 2023. ) has been increased. "

Security Level 3 is defined as "It is the level consisting of the most advanced and specific protective security measures for a short period of time in case a security action is likely or about to occur, even if it is not possible to detect the exact target."
