It is reported that Russian bank Sberbank will provide a loan of $ 800 million for the construction of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant (NGS).

In the statement, it was shared that Sberbank will provide a new loan to Rosatom's subsidiary Akkuyu Nuclear AŞ. expression was used.

Anatoliy Popov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sberbank, whose views were included in the statement, stated that Akkuyu NPP has strategic importance for Sberbank and said, "With our new loan, Rosatom will maintain its position as the main lender in international projects." made its assessment.

The agreement regarding Akkuyu NPP, which will be Turkey's first nuclear power plant, was signed with Russia in 2010. The power plant to be built in Akkuyu will consist of 4 reactors and will have a total installed capacity of 4,800 megawatts. The first reactor is expected to go into operation in 2023.
