At the core of the project is the installation of a dedicated automatic device for cleaning the EBT (Eccentric Bottom Tapping) system. The new solution eliminates the need for manual intervention in the furnace’s critical area, improving workplace safety, reducing downtime, and increasing production efficiency.
SARRALLE’s EBT Cleaning Device features a telescopic, motor-driven system mounted beneath the Electric Arc Furnace, ensuring precise and efficient cleaning of the refractory EBT rings. Its pneumatically powered rotating head provides consistent and safe cleaning without requiring operator involvement.
The system can also be integrated into existing electrical and automation networks through hydraulic control, PLC, and SCADA software upgrades. Prior to installation, all equipment will be preassembled and tested at SARRALLE’s facilities, while on-site installation and commissioning will be carried out in close collaboration with CELSA France.
The scope of supply includes a comprehensive package covering mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical-automation systems, along with maintenance platforms and protective covers. SARRALLE guarantees the highest quality and full compliance of all supplied equipment and components with their intended operational purposes.
