Sanctions tighten EU control over imports of metal products from Russian raw materials

The sanctions affect almost the entire range of metallurgical products of Russian origin. And measures that banned imports to the EU from third countries of metal products made from Russian rolled products were introduced earlier in the tenth and ninth packages.

Indian steel traders seem to have particularly taken advantage of this opportunity and have bought Russian steel over the past 12 months. This led to an increase in iron and steel imports from Russia to India by almost 400% compared to the previous year.
