Samarco sets record for pellet production in August

Brazil's Samarco Mineração has set a world record for monthly pellet production at a single plant in August, producing 824,800 tons of high-grade pellets. The output, equivalent to 8.8-9 million tons annually, is supplied by Metso.

Samarco later installed three additional plants, using Metso's moving grate pelletizing process, which offers high productivity, quality, low investment and operating costs, reduced energy consumption, and emissions.
