FNsteel, headquartered in Alblasserdam, operates one of Europe’s most advanced processing facilities and supplies high-quality cold heading steels primarily to the automotive and construction industries.
Saarstahl’s Executive Board Chairman, Stefan Rauber, stated: “FNsteel, with its state-of-the-art facilities and strong market position, is an excellent fit for our strategy. This acquisition will enhance our competitiveness and contribute to our goal of strengthening Saarland and Germany as an industrial region.”
Jonathan Weber, Saarstahl’s Chief Transformation Officer, added: “This step strengthens the production and innovation capacities of both companies and creates new opportunities for continuous growth. We will integrate FNsteel quickly and efficiently.”
FNsteel CEO Matthijs van der Schoot said: “Becoming part of a leading group in the long steel segment will support FNsteel’s sustainable growth. We are excited to join the Saarstahl family.”
The acquisition is subject to approval by the relevant antitrust authorities and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
