According to Rosstat, production of passenger cars in Russia increased by 62.2% year-on-year in the first half of 2024, reaching 330,000 units.
Passenger car output in June 2024 increased by 45.9% year-on-year and by 45.6% year-on-year in May 2024 compared to June 2023.
In the first six months of 2024, Russia produced 90,900 trucks, up 21.1% compared to the same period in 2023. In June 2024, the production of trucks increased by 21.6% compared to June 2023 and by 31.9% compared to May 2024.
Production of buses weighing more than 5 tonnes in January-June 2024 was 7,500 units, up 18.9% compared to the same period in 2023. However, in June, the production of such buses decreased by 9 % compared to June 2023, but increased by 1.6 % compared to May 2024.
In the first half of 2024, there were 10,100 buses weighing less than 5 tonnes produced, up by 7% compared to the same period last year. At the same time, the production of these buses in June decreased by 20.4% compared to June 2023, but increased by 14.5% compared to May 2024.
