Rebar imports of Türkiye decreased by 35.9% in January-March period

SteelRadar has compiled data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) and reported that Türkiye's rebar imports decreased by 1.8% year on year to 8,562 tons in March 2024 from 8,717 tons in the same month of the previous year. It increased by 87.4% compared to the previous month.

In the January-March period, total rebar imports decreased by 35.9% on a yearly basis from 38,306 tons to 24,569 tons.

In March, Türkiye's largest rebar import destination was Italy with 5,944.8 tons, followed by Iran with 2,582.7 tons, Germany with 32.7 tons, China and Algeria with 1.6 tons.
