The agreement was signed during the official visit of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar to Guangdong Province of China on July 3, 2025.
Under the signed agreement, Dadi company will contribute to the project as an industrial partner. Dadi will provide advanced technologies, equipment and design expertise that will increase efficiency and reduce environmental impact at Qarmet's Coal Department facilities. With a particular focus on the implementation of dry coal washing technology, the project will both increase production capacity and introduce an environmentally friendly process.
In addition to the modernization of the coal washing facilities, Qarmet is simultaneously pursuing other important projects. These include the construction of a natural gas pipeline to the plant to improve environmental performance and reduce costs, the installation of new coke batteries with an annual production capacity of 1.5 million tons of dry coke, the construction of a casting and rolling complex for the production of high quality steel and a rolling mill to reduce the construction industry's dependence on imports.
