Prominox acquires Outokumpu's distribution network in a strong move

In a statement concerning the acquisition of Outokumpu's distribution business, Prominox President Ivette Autrique emphasized that this strategic move will solidify Prominox's leadership position within the Mexican market. Autrique stated, "The integration of Outokumpu's distribution network into our portfolio will enable us to enhance our strategic standing and expand our customer base."

Outokumpu stated that this divestment will enable the company to dedicate greater resources to its operations in Mexico and the United States. Furthermore, Outokumpu assured its commitment to its existing customers by confirming that it will continue to serve them until the agreement with Prominox is finalized.

The acquisition is expected to be completed in the coming weeks, and financial details of the agreement have not yet been disclosed. Prominox is expected to gain a stronger position in the Mexican stainless steel market and expand its customer base with this acquisition. Outokumpu aims to be able to focus more on its strategic priorities and achieve a more profitable structure with this sale.
