Primary aluminum imports from Russia to China increased

According to Chinese customs, aluminum imports to the country in January-February of this year increased by 162.5% y-o-y to about 150 thousand tons.

Russia has taken the first place in primary aluminum imports to China. More than 2/3 of the total volume was delivered from Russia. Primary aluminum imports from Russia to China increased by 266.2% y-o-y between January and February 2023 and amounted to 105.3 thousand tons. After Russia, Iran and Bahrain were among the prominent countries in imports to China.
