POSCO announced plans to begin full production of a new stainless steel material, 430DP, based on proprietary technology developed by its Technical Research Laboratories.
Compared to conventional stainless steel used in household appliances, POSCO's 430DP has 50% higher strength and 20% less product thickness.
The reduced product thickness allows manufacturers to produce more products of the same weight and save costs.
