According to the data, the number of industrial capacity reports approved in June increased by 35% compared to June 2024 and was recorded as 4,092. The number of active capacity reports in the TOBB Industrial Database was 94,836 in the same month last year, while in June this year it slightly decreased to 94,832.
The number of employees decreased by 0.3% compared to May and was calculated as 3,805,018. The average number of employees per capacity report decreased from 40.8 in May 2025 to 40.1 in June 2025.
TOBB also announced that deficiencies and inaccuracies in the bulletins related to the January–May period due to a technical error in the industrial capacity reports had been corrected. In this context, the bulletins for those months were removed from the website and revised.
According to the revised data, the number of capacity reports approved in January 2025 increased by 18.5% compared to January 2024, reaching 5,543. In the same period, the number of active capacity reports decreased by 3.9%, becoming 93,453. The total number of employees increased by 0.05% compared to December 2024, reaching 4,009,134.
In February, the number of approved capacity reports decreased by 4% compared to the same month last year, falling to 4,432. The number of active capacity reports in the TOBB Industrial Database decreased by 3.4% on a yearly basis, becoming 94,062. The total number of employees increased by 0.42% compared to January, reaching 4,025,854.
The number of approved capacity reports in March decreased by 7.3% compared to March 2024, recorded as 4,179. In the same period, the number of active capacity reports fell by 3%, reaching 93,728. The total number of employees, which was 4,025,854 in February, decreased by 1.98% in March to 3,945,949.
In April, the number of approved capacity reports increased by 11.7% compared to the same month last year, reaching 4,052. The number of active capacity reports was recorded as 93,824, showing a 1.8% decrease. The total number of employees decreased by 1% compared to March, reaching 3,905,861.
In May, the number of approved capacity reports decreased by 1% on an annual basis, falling to 4,550. In the same period, the number of active capacity reports decreased by 2.5%, reaching 93,539, while the total number of employees decreased by 2.3%, falling to 3,815,338.
In the statement made by TOBB, it was emphasized that industrial capacity reports are an important indicator of production and employment, and the announced data reflects the current state of the industrial sector.
