Nucor to shut down Longview plant

Nucor Corp. announced it will close its Longview plant in Texas.

Nucor to shut down Longview plant

Nucor is closing its plant in Longview, Texas. Nucor had acquired the Longview plant in 2016 for approximately US$29 million and its annual capacity was 100,000 tons.

This amount will be absorbed by Nucor's new plant in Brandenburg, Kentucky and other Nucor plants, and all employees will find jobs in other Nucor units.
