New Special Stress Annealing (STA) coated stainless steel increases dimensional stability by reducing bending and improves crystal grain size.
According to the company, STA coating minimizes dimensional deviations, particularly in semi-abrasive applications, thereby increasing production precision. Furthermore, its finer crystal grain structure makes it an ideal solution for high-precision microfabrication products such as smartphone components, metal masks, and packaging carriers.
The new product simplifies the production process while increasing energy efficiency, reducing environmental impact, and improving production yield by providing design flexibility. With its official “Eco-Product” certification, STA coating stands out as a step supporting Nippon Kinzoku's goal of net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
This launch was implemented as part of the company's “Nippon Kinzoku 2030” management plan, which focuses on the “Near Net Performance” approach. The plan aims to provide performance-oriented solutions from the raw material stage to the final product level in areas such as 5G communications, mobile devices, and semiconductor technologies.
