The Netherlands became an important export destination for India in the April-December period of the 2022-2023 fiscal year. The increase in the shipment of goods such as petroleum products, electronic products, chemicals and aluminum products are thought to be effective in increasing the importance of the Netherlands. Looking at the data, India's trade surplus with the Netherlands was $1.5 billion in 2017 and increased to $12.3 billion so far in 2022-23. The Netherlands, which is thought to replace important destinations such as United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Bangladesh and Germany, has become India's 3rd largest export market after the USA and UAE. In the April-December period of 2021, India's exports to the Netherlands were announced as 8.10 billion. In the same period of 2022, India's exports to the Netherlands increased by 69 percent to 13.67 billion dollars.
