Metal-Expo 2025 expands its geography: St. Petersburg to host one of the largest metallurgical gatherings of the year

The 31st International Industrial Exhibition Metal-Expo 2025 will be held for the first time in Saint Petersburg, Russia, from November 11 to 14, 2025, at the state-of-the-art Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Center.

Metal-Expo 2025 expands its geography: St. Petersburg to host one of the largest metallurgical gatherings of the year

This premier event in the global metallurgical calendar is expected to attract over 800 exhibitors and more than 30,000 professional visitors from across the world.

The exhibition will bring together key players from the ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy sectors, metal trading and processing companies, and leading consumers from industries such as construction, engineering, energy, shipbuilding, and transportation.

A 45,000 m² Showcase of Industrial Innovation

Spread across four pavilions and outdoor spaces, Metal-Expo 2025 will cover more than 45,000 square meters of exhibition space. Major Russian metallurgical companies such as MMK, Severstal, NLMK, EVRAZ, OMK, and RUSAL will showcase their latest products and technologies. Delegations from each company, some numbering between 50 and 100 specialists, will engage with visitors and partners.

The event will also feature strong international participation, with over 400 foreign exhibitors from China, Turkey, India, Iran, Germany, Italy, South Korea, the UAE, Kazakhstan, and more. Easing geopolitical conditions are expected to encourage additional participation from the EU and the United States.

Specialized Platforms: Technology, Logistics, and Construction

Several thematic areas will run in parallel to the main exhibition:

  • MetallurgMash 2025 (Pavilion H) will focus on metallurgical engineering and equipment, featuring innovations from companies like Electrostal Heavy Engineering Works, Uralmash, METPROM, and others.

  • MetallTransLogistic 2025 will highlight transportation and logistics services, a key concern for mining and metallurgy enterprises.

  • MetalStroyForum 2025 will explore the expanding role of steel in the construction sector, with roundtables and conferences on galvanized steel, structural applications, and modern construction technologies.

Over 45 Business Events Scheduled

The four-day forum will include more than 45 conferences, seminars, roundtables, and presentations, gathering up to 4,000 experts to discuss the latest challenges and opportunities across the value chain. Topics will range from import substitution and new steel grades to export development, energy efficiency, and advanced service models.

In addition, the event will host competitions and awards such as:

  • Metal-Vision (best industry video),

  • Young Scientists contest,

  • Event of the Year awards,

  • And honors for outstanding corporate media and digital projects.

Key industry organizations, including the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, will host strategic sessions on intersectoral development and innovations in steel production for the automotive sector. Scientific and technical discussions will cover promising materials, foundry technologies, and equipment modernization.

A Critical Year for Russian Metallurgy

According to A. Efimov, General Director of Metal-Expo LLC, “The industry is undergoing consolidation, and the market structure is changing. This affects everything from corporate development plans to procurement and sales strategies. The need for professional dialogue is greater than ever.”

In 2025, the Russian steel industry is tasked with implementing large-scale investment programs, launching new production capacities, and increasing the output of high value-added products, while adapting to volatile pricing, rising costs, and evolving export dynamics.

A Strategic Location and Modern Venue

The Expoforum center, located near Pulkovo Airport and the new Moscow-St. Petersburg highway, offers excellent accessibility and modern infrastructure, including hotels, business lounges, and spacious halls on a single-level layout—facilitating convenient navigation for both exhibitors and visitors.

Over the past three decades, Metal-Expo has become a central platform for building partnerships and addressing critical challenges in the metallurgical industry. In its 31st edition, the event promises to further strengthen that role—this time in Saint Petersburg, a city with a rich industrial heritage and strategic relevance for the sector.

The Metal-Expo 2025 organizing committee invites professionals, manufacturers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders to join this landmark event and contribute to shaping the future of metallurgy.
